...meet the loopers

Who are the loopers you ask?

Well, we're just regular folks. When we get a chance to get out of town, we hit the road in search of other life forms [as in different than ours]. That's really not that hard to do, being the sophisticated rural folks that we are, and we find these encounters very entertaining, sometimes educational, and always memorable for one reason or another.

Our Loops usually take us to [or through] what we call "BIG towns" where we often [as in ALWAYS] end up getting totally lost, and somehow find the coolest places [typically eating and drinking establishments] while trying to find our way to where ever it is we're trying to get to in the first place.

Wheezie found this fine hotel which didn't even nail down the TV remote control, was 10 feet from the ice machine and had a great view of the Taco Bell AND the freeway!

In other words, these unintended diversions lead us to unexplored locations, resulting in the discovery of now new future destinations, which we'll try to find again some time in the future, resulting in us getting lost again, trying to finding these new intended destinations, and finding other unintended destinations... hence, theLoopers.

We believe, of course, that this IS our actual mission from God, and we feel duly responsible to carry this mission out, for the betterment of the world.

Money Saving Tip about Spices

by arthur b
I use a lot of cumin. If you do too, here's a tip:

If your local store stocks Mojave spices (usually in the "ethnic foods" isle, where all the cool stuff is), use them! The bag of cumin pictured at left cost 85¢, and will fill the $4+ Schilling spice jar with some left over! Buy several.
